Water-fed pole system

This is the easiest and safest method for commercial and high-rise window cleaning as it practically eliminates all of the previous bucket and ladder risks, requires minimal equipment and produces excellent results, ensuring clean and clear results every time.

Of course, there is one clear limitation and that is reach. Our water-fed poles can reach up to 72 feet, that’s approximately 6 to 7 floors, not bad at all, but for anything higher or where awkward façades are involved, we have to pivot to another high-rise window cleaning technique. Water-fed poles use deionised water – purified and heated in our vans and then pumped through the telescopic pole to a brush at the top (so no need for harsh chemicals).

On most projects, this method will be used on the lower storeys of the building to achieve the best, most cost-effective, eco-friendly cleaning solutions for our clients.

Rope Access & Abseiling

For high-rise window cleaning and lower-rise buildings with more challenging façades, we access the surfaces we’re instructed to clean by abseiling. Our IRATA-trained and fully insured rope access team can tackle even the hardest-to-reach glazing – from roofs and balustrades to walls, windows and lifts.

So, whether we’re gently wiping clean the stained glass in a cathedral’s highest windows or abseiling down a 40-storey office building, our team can reach anywhere. Often the only other window cleaning method available would have been massive elevated platform equipment, closing roads, disrupting residents and costing more, so, for our clients rope access is the rapid, cost-effective solution to their high-rise window and façade cleaning problem.

Water-fed poles eliminate all previous risks, making it the safest and most cost-effective cleaning method, giving excellent results.

Cradle Access

Some larger buildings have a suspended platform system installed at construction so a cradle can be lowered down a high-rise for maintenance or cleaning the exterior of the building.

These are often operated in collaboration with the facilities or building management. We’ve all the right training and insurances to use them for our window and façade cleaning needs, so where they exist we sometimes utilise them for their convenience, though other times abseiling from the rooftop is just quicker and simpler.

Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP)

For the most difficult-to-reach areas, more traditional man-powered methods can fall short.

MEWPs offer a safe and effective solution, allowing our IPAF-trained team to access otherwise inaccessible spaces. MEWPs range from relatively small ‘spider’ platforms that can fit through doorways to clean the internal glazed surfaces of a multi-storey vaulted atrium to a lorry-mounted platform that will stop traffic but get the job done.

We use these sparingly as they can be less cost-efficient than other methods – and we always look for the most affordable and least disruptive solution for our clients.

Ladder and Squeegee

Yes, even today we occasionally resort to a bucket and cloth or squeegee when needs must, in line with our commitment to do whatever it takes to get to every nook and cranny with our window and façade cleaning service.

Most commonly used when the cleaning of internal glazing is part of a project, we can dust off the traditional kit when it’s the most obvious solution for the job.

Even here health and safety is an important part of the process, especially where ladders are required and every member of our team takes that very seriously.

Whatever It Takes to Get the Job Done

Our team has the industry experience and know-how to handle all manner of projects, from factories and schools to residential high-rises and office blocks. We simply adapt our window and façade cleaning methods to suit the building, assuring the highest quality results no matter the challenge in front of us. Come rain, shine or complex architecture, we’ll get the job done.
